Lessons

Registered teachers (sensei) instruct each student through the study of line & space as set out in the Sogetsu School curriculum.

As Ikebana is sensitive to the changing seasons, Ikebana classes are held in the Spring and Fall. Classes are typically small, anywhere from 6 to 11 students per class and dependant on each teacher. The smaller classes enable structured yet highly creative learning of all levels of study in the classroom.  Classes are always hands-on and inspirational.

Ikebana is a beautiful journey of creativity, and often described as very meditative. It is joyful to relate with, and to compose natural materials into artistic forms. Balance and harmony are essential objectives in the ephemeral art of Ikebana.
